Sunken Cemetery (Camiguin)

The sunken cemetery is just a few meters away from the shore. Well, actually, it is part of the shore. According to the guide, when Mt Hibok-hibok errupted, Camiguin’s sea level lowered so the waters took over the cemetery and drowned it.

We did not see the actual sunken cemetery, since it was a high tide and you have to dive to see it. We were “fooled” by the bangkeros when they told us that when we go to the ‘cross’, we will see the cemetery upclose. We never saw any single mark.
